Who we are
LAYERMARK has spent years helping federal contractors and software organizations prove that their processes are real, repeatable and measured, through CMMI appraisals, ISO certification and training. Many of those organizations serve the federal and defense markets, and they now face a second question: can they prove that the information they handle is protected?
CMMCMARK was created to answer that question. It brings LAYERMARK’s appraisal discipline to the CMMC program. The two worlds are closely linked: ISACA, the organization behind the CMMI model, also became the official certification body for CMMC assessors and instructors (the CAICO) in 2026.

- We do not recommend scheduling an assessment until a readiness review shows you are prepared. Surprises belong in rehearsals, not in the real assessment.

- Controls only hold if people run them every day. We build routines your team can sustain between assessments, not binders that sit on a shelf.

- We explain requirements in terms your leaders and staff understand, and we tell you clearly what is required and what is optional.
- Independence
- We prepare you; authorized C3PAOs and DCMA DIBCAC certify you. That separation keeps our advice focused on your interests.
